About Oseh Shalom

Oseh Shalom BBYO #5261, or “Oseh”, is a co-ed fraternity/sorority in the Howard County area, named after our Home Synagogue in Laurel. Since 1996, our chapter has continued to be a home to Jewish teens, built on unique experiences. Oseh is a youth lead organization through BBYO.
Our programs are truly unique and continue to engage members and shape them as men and women. Oseh develops the valuable traits and memories that members will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
“My time in Oseh was truly unforgettable. I forged lifelong friends, made hilarious and meaningful memories, and grew as a person into the man I am today. It is thanks to Oseh that my leadership, my heart, and my circle are as powerful as they are now.”
– Mason Chizik, Oseh Shalom Class of 2022
Every weekend, members of our chapter will get together for things such as evening programs, Shabbat dinners, football/basketball, elections, conventions, community service, and leadership events. Oseh is seemingly more than just a chapter. Oseh is a home for Alephs and BBG’s alike. Our chapter is truly unique and allows our members to be who they are without judgment. Oseh allows teens to build relationships that go beyond our chapter and become family.
