Oseh Shalom’s Executive Board

All leadership positions on the chapter level are held by teens, who are elected through a democratic election process, held once per semester. Listed Below is each Oseh board position, and its current holder.

Oseh’s 58th Executive Board

Godol/N’siah (President)

The president oversees the entire chapter. The president acts as a manager and advisor board, acts as the chapter’s liaison to the council, and makes many important decisions. The president maintains a level of professionalism and always act as a role model.

S’gan/S’ganit (Vice Presidents)

The Vice Presidents of Programming oversee all chapter programming and board communications. The S’gan or S’ganit assumes the role of president in the absence of the president. The S’ganim must not plan all programs, but rather help Oseh members cultivate their ideas and turn them into programs.

Moreh/MIT Mom (Vice Presidents of Membership)

The Vice Presidents of Membership are responsible for recruitment, retention, and education of new members. The Morim must not only recruit new members, but act as a guide/role model for the MITs (BBG) and AITs (AZA).

Mazkir/Mazkirah (Secretaries)

The Secretaries are responsible for maintaining communication with the chapter. Mazkirim spread awareness of the chapters events, while making a strong effort to increase attendance.

Shaliach/Sh’licha (Head of Judaism)

The Head of Judaism is responsible for all programming related to Judaism in the chapter. This includes: StandUP causes, community service events, Jewish heritage programming, weekly Havdalah programming, and planning and steering Shabbat programs.

Gizbor/Gizborit (Treasurer)

The Treasurer is in charge of managing the chapter’s funds and planning fundraising programs such as; Restaurant night, Bingo,etc. In addition, the treasurer is in charge of designing + ordering chapter. apparel.

Sopher/Saphranit (Head of Public Relations)

The Head of Public Relations is in charge of all chapter social media including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and the chapter website. The Sopher/Saphranit is in charge of written media such as newspapers and flyers. The Sopher/Saphranit documents and promotes events via pictures and videos.
